About Gera Tools
Gera Tools is a free collection of more than 10,000 online calculators, converters, generators and everyday utilities. The goal is simple: give you fast, accurate, no-nonsense tools that work instantly — with no sign-up required, no paywall on the basics, and no clutter.
What we do
We build and maintain focused, single-purpose tools across categories like maths and finance, text and data, conversion, health, images, dates and developer utilities. Each tool is designed to do one job well and explain how it works, with the methodology and assumptions shown on the page so you can check the result rather than take it on faith.
How this site is built — honestly
Gera Tools is built by a small independent company using AI-assisted software development. We use AI systems, under human direction, to implement tools and draft reference content at a scale a small team could never reach by hand — and we're open about that, because we think trust comes from showing the process, not hiding it.
AI-assisted does not mean unchecked. Before a page ships it must pass automated verification: the page has to render without errors, carry valid structured metadata, and have working links; tools show their formula or method on the page; and data-backed pages must cite a named primary source with an "as of" date. When a dataset can't be independently verified against its source, we drop it rather than publish it. Humans direct what gets built, spot-check the output, and personally handle every correction report. The full process is on our Methodology & data sources page.
Privacy first
Almost every tool on Gera Tools runs entirely inside your web browser. Your files, text and numbers are processed on your own device and are not uploaded to a server. See our Privacy policy for the full detail on advertising and analytics.
Why we built it
Most "free calculator" sites bury a simple tool under pop-ups, sign-up walls and pages of filler. Gera Tools started from a different premise: a single place where the tool you need works instantly, the method behind the answer is shown openly, and your data never leaves your device. We'd rather explain the formula than hide it — so every page shows the working, the assumptions, and where any reference figures come from.
How we research our data
Many of our tools rely on real, published reference data — tax bands, thresholds, average costs, and official figures. We take these from primary, authoritative sources and cite them on the page with an "as of" date. Sources we use include UK government and statistics bodies (GOV.UK, HMRC, ONS, DWP, NHS Digital, DEFRA, DfE), US federal sources (IRS, BLS, US Census, CMS, CDC, FEMA), and established industry datasets (for example Bankrate / LodeStar for housing costs, and EUCAST / CLSI for clinical reference). Where a figure changes annually, we update it on the relevant release. See our Methodology & data sources page for the full list and our update cadence.
Accuracy & corrections
We aim for accuracy and traceable sourcing, but we're not infallible — if you spot an error in any tool or figure, tell us via the Contact page and we'll investigate and correct it. Tools are provided for general information; for decisions that matter — financial, legal, medical or otherwise — please verify with a qualified professional (see our Disclaimer).
