How it works

Clothing sizing is discrete rather than continuous, so the tool works from standard regional size charts where each row is one equivalent set across all five systems. For women’s tops and dresses, the UK number is the US number plus four (US 8 equals UK 12), the EU number is the US number plus thirty-two (US 8 equals EU 40), and the Italian number is the EU number plus four (EU 40 equals IT 44). Those rows map to an international S/M/L band so you always get a soft size too.

Men’s suits and jackets are based on chest measurement, so US and UK numbers match while EU and Italian sizes add ten — a US/UK 40 chest is an EU 50 and an IT 50. Men’s tops and shirts use alpha S/M/L sizing with the EU/IT chest number alongside. Worked example

A woman knows she wears a US 8 dress and wants to order from a European retailer that labels in EU and IT:
